That is a pretty solid deal on a relatively clean FJ60.
Buy it, take good care of it, and maybe sort out the rust and you’ll have a vehicle that will run forever and never really lose its value. May very well appreciate in time.
If you have the means, get it.

You've turned to the wrong place if you want us to talk you out of it. NP

I like it. not sure if $7000 is a good price depending on how much rust and where.

solid examples seem to be going for $10k. I dont really know much about pricing. I was thinking maybe they already hit thier low point and are on the way back up.

These are getting expensive again. A good example will run you anywhere from $10k-18k+.

i’m guessing hes including some value for the roof rack. I asked if he’d like to keep it and lower the price
i also asked about the frame and rust he mentioned.

If you have a clean one in good running order, it’s a car that will run forever. And they’re definitely becoming collectible. I know I really really want one. Would make an awesome weekend off-roader/camper and perhaps even a tow vehicle for a small race car!
I just love the way they look and drive too. My best friend’s family has one, and we used to beat the tar outta that thing in the Arizona desert. Never had any problems and always performed amazingly.

They are definitely on the way up. A rust free example is $20k now thanks in part to ICON. He’s got 5 scouts all over the country snaggin up all the good FJ60/62’s and Fj40’s.

NP, although I would look for a well maintained original cruiser rather than a modded offroad rig. They are out there - a lot of these carried the kids to and from soccer/polo/yachting what have you.. 60s are probably your lowest cost entry into the LC club.

Good luck financing a 28 year old truck at an affordable rate.
Best bet is to pay off the CC and apply for a low interest line of credit.
Use the line of credit to buy the truck. The line of credit should be 5-6% interest which is way better than the probable 15% CC interest.
Then pay the line of credit off quick and you are golden.
A line of credit debt looks way better on your record than a CC debt. and they are much easier to pay off.
